Primary Function Serves as a leader and partner with the Clinical Manager (Nursing Manager/Director)ectors in the operation of the patient care units, or system, as appropriate, including providing input into hiring of staff and the performance evaluation process. Serves as a consultant and mentor in advancing the practice of nursing. Accountable for the implementation of evidence based practice and the development of tools and pathways, in order to achieve quality cost effective patient outcomes. Demonstrates the advanced knowledge and clinical practice in specialty area, appropriate to age & culture. Collaborates with Clinical Director and nursing staff to establish and monitor evidence based standards of care. Provides Expert Clinical Consultation to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to assess, develop and evaluate education for their specialty area. Acts as a consultant and leader within the HealthEast system. Acts as a role model and resource to staff in order to promote a highly performing interdependent team.

Qualifications
Education:
Master's degree in nursing with focus in clinical specialization. Current license to practice Registered Nursing in Minnesota. Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)ialist certification through ANCC, or CNS extension letter, or NP certification, or completion of program within one year of hire.

Experience:
Minimum of five years progressive experience with at least two years of advanced practice experience in specialty area preferred. Experience in clinical coordination of extraordinary care. Experience in education and group facilitation.
